Share a day of fun as you experience rural immigrant life in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
Roll up your sleeves, put on some wooden barn shoes, and hunt for eggs in the chicken coop or help with a woodworking project at the new “Life on the Farm” experience. Meet townsfolk in the shops and homes of the crossroads village. Explore ten working farmsteads, complete with heritage breeds of animals, heirloom gardens and historic varieties of crops.
Activities change throughout the season. Celebrate Wisconsin Folklife in May and June, explore The World of Little House (Laura Ingalls Wilder’s world!) throughout July, join Civil War Encounters throughout August, pitch in during Autumn on the Farms, share the one-of-a-kind Halloween Legends and Lore, or enjoy a popular dinner theater performance. New Time Travelers Adventure Camps invite kids to have a blast in the summer as they explore life in the 1800s.
New for 2014: Experience the cycling boom of the 1890s at Catch Wheel Fever! Climb aboard a bike and take a reproduction 19th-century tricycle for a spin as you experience the fun of a turn-of-the-century rural bike club meet.
